Miss Africa International Pageant Heartily Welcomes Dr. Hader!

Dear Dr. Hader,

I write to extend a cordial welcome with open arms from our DC-based Miss Africa International family. Our humanitarian goals have a lot in common with those of your organization and having proudly served the DC community for four years, our energetic contestants will gladly volunteer in projects or awareness campaigns in your fight against HIV/AIDS. Remember, we are always here to help.

Cordially yours,

Karyn Pomerantz Welcomes Dr. Hader

Welcome. The Metropolitan Washington Public Health Association (MWPHA) has made the fight against the HIV epidemic its primary advocacy work because this health issue reveals the worst inequalities and racism that exist around the world. We need to include but go way beyond condoms, sex education, and testing as responses to HIV. MWPHA demands that all DC residents have access to truly affordable housing and meaningful jobs to create the stability that creates health. We need to unite workers across the city to fight for social improvements that enrich all of us regular people instead of the developers and businesses.

As part of our campaign to fight for healthy conditions, we are hosting a Speak Out with DC Fights Back on Saturday, November 3rd preceded by a march around the neighborhood. Meet us at the Washington Highlands Library at 115 Atlantic St. SW at noon.

J.M. Dziba Welcomes Dr. Hader

I am a Zimbabwean living here in the USA, and also the founder and director of AIDS Zimbabwel Charity, Inc. I wanted to take this opportunity to firstly thank you for your service to Zimbabwe, while you were serving as the Director of the CDC’s Zimbabwe Global AIDS fund. Our’s is a small effort to not only provide a support system for Zimbabweans affected by HIV/AIDS, and who are now living outside Zimbabwe, but it is also an effort to pool together the human resource of the professional Zimbabweans located across the globe, to contribute to Zimbabwe’s HIV/AIDS campaign. As we endeavor to meet our objectives, we strive to work with US-based groups, to share the lessons we have learnt from our experience with HIV/AIDS as Zimbabweans, while also benefiting from the experiences of these groups, to benefit Zimbabwe’s campaign. We welcome you back to the United States, and thank you for your service to Zimbabwe.
