Our Heroes: 2009 World AIDS Day Reception
Join us on World AIDS Day, Tuesday December 1st, for a special reception at the Center featuring the Our Heroes Exhibit.Our Heroes is a collection of 150 striking black and white photographs honoring the people, places, and events that marked or charged the history of HIV/AIDS in Washington, DC in the last 25+ years. The exhibit will be on display at the Center for the month of December.
Join us for this special reception honoring all of the heroes of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Washington DC. The Reception takes place Tuesday December 1st starting at 6:30 PM at the Center, 1111 14th St NW. Light refreshments will be served.

I hope that the true unsong heroes of the crisis will be represented--the pharmaceutical companies, their investors, and stockholders, who have prolonged the lives of so many who have been infected with HIV and who may yet develop a vaccine or a cure.
